Jeff Mach's Wicked Winter Renaissance Faire V: The Mad Tea Party
“‘Will you walk a little faster?’ said a whiting to a snail,
‘There’s a porpoise close behind us and he’s treading on my tail.
See how eagerly the lobsters and the turtles all advance!
They are waiting on the shingle — will you come and join the dance?
Will you, won’t you, will you, won’t you, will you join the dance?’”

- Lewis Carroll

“Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable. Let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.”

- Douglas Adams

Jeff Mach’s Wicked Winter Renaissance Faire is a miniature explosion of entertainment and activity, wrapped up in a fresh-baked Renaissance Faire exterior, filled to the brim with big tasty chunks of well-seasoned festival, spiced with a bit of convention, then dipped in a sauce of unconvention, and served at a terribly low price during one fantastic frenetic weekend every year. Only not so much with the “miniature” part. There are so many madly diverse fun things going on at any one time that, in general, if you come looking to find a good time, you are damn likely to find one.

This year, we’ve added a few new things, most of which will be surprises.  But we definitely suggest you check out the Wicked Unbirthday Party & Gifts on the Tickets page.  (Latest update:  It’s February, it’s right before Wicked, and the “Pleasures” page has more good things on it than you might believe we could possibly offer for the ticket price!  Go check it out!!)

What, exactly, is Wicked Faire? It’s a slightly-twisted Renaissance Faire without borders, or at least, with damn few borders.   It’s honestly pretty accurate to say that Wicked Faire offers you a ticket into another world, and while you’re there, it sends so much entertainment and so many good things your way that there isn’t a really good word for what kind of event we are.  Know this:  we are welcoming, we are frequently weird, and we want you with us.

This year’s theme is The Mad Tea Party. Will you have to fall down a rabbit hole to get in? Need you enter a looking glass? Well, frankly, since you’ll end up in New Jersey either way, it doesn’t matter too much. Welcome to our perpetually-added-to home on the web.  This site grows and evolves as the event gets nearer. Come in! Come in!

And if you also happen to enjoy retro-futuristic events, might we suggest you check out Jeff’s next event:

The Steampunk World’s Fair

…coming May 14-16 to the Radisson Hotel of Piscataway, NJ.
