…and in an unfortunate moment of modesty, I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to say about myself. So I opened it up to my friends, not having thought through the fact that they could say much more complimentary things about me than I could.
The one I liked best was “Jeff Mach is the sort of person who will think of something and say, ‘Wouldn’t it be awesome if people had a (insert event here)?’ and all sorts of different people agree, and they make it happen, and it is, in fact, awesome.”
That really does describe the last several years of my life. I’ve done a lot of things. I’ve written a book on consensual power exchange; it’s available for free at www.deadlychallenge.org, and if you like it, you can greatly repay me by telling other folks about it, and perhaps emailing me your thoughts (I’ll reply, if I’m able! Apologies if I’m not! I get several hundred emails a day, especially as Wicked approaches.)
Shortly, I’ll be putting up my performance of one of my one-person musicals, “What Sharp Teeth”. And I’m also the general director of The Steampunk World’s Fair, coming May 14-16, 2010, to Piscataway, New Jersey.
Wicked Faire is pretty amazing. You should go.
Do you want to help out at Wicked Faire? Or possible even before? Would you like to volunteer to assist us? We’re looking for a few dedicated and slightly crazy people to join Team Masochist. Other events will tell you that if you work a little while, you’ll get free tickets, and be able to enjoy the event. We’ll tell you that if you work insanely throughout way more of the event than you would have physically imagined possible, you will come away with ridiculous amounts of satisfaction….assuming, of course, that you’re crazy. Are you? If so, then email wickedvolunteers@gmail.com – tell ‘em you want to join our crazy band.

Oh, hey, like Wicked Faire and want to promote it?
We now have a gorgeous flyer created by Jason Watt of Phantoms Era Designs:

Please feel free to print and distribute! Just click on it to open the full size and then download.
We also invite you to use some of our Wicked Demotivational Posters, below! (Thanks to the various photographers, particularly www.ErikPix.com, who took these photos!) I used http://diy.despair.com/motivator.php to create these – if you’d like to contribute some, just send some my way, jeffmach@wickedfaire.com.
Some suggested text to go with your posters:
“Jeff Mach’s Wicked Winter Renaissance Faire seeks new friends who like the unusual and the unique. Wicked Faire is part Renaissance Faire, part everything else, and has more entertainment than almost any other event in the country. This year’s Wicked takes place February 19-21, 2010, at the Doubletree Hotel & Conference Center of Somerset, New Jersey. For more information: www.WickedFaire.com.”
