The LARP - Introduction
The Eldest God mused… Alone in the cosmos with not much to do. While Earth was some entertainment, it wasn’t the best. A lone tentacle reached up and scratched what was a head on the blob of a god lost in thought. What could the Eldest God to do entertain himself?
Then he heard it.
This little fight between Pirates and Ninjas had come to an awkward halt, ending in some sort of musical. It was something he had planned to be a brutal and ugly war and it ended in a musical.
Wonderful.
He dropped another lone tentacle down to Earth, probing the minds of men and women searching for someone who would carry his message. He found her, and she eagerly recited poetry at the anti-climactic end of the Pirate and Ninja war.
The mass let out what seemed to be an amused chuckle. Lord Cthulhu had a plan.
Quickly, he conjured up what the best technological races in the universe could offer. A space ship of wonders, with rooms being extra-dimensional and a cockpit with one lone portal.
This would do.
He let out a strange gurgling cackle again, this one gleeful. Finally, some entertainment. This hotel would serve as the gate to his ship, both in and out. However, he would rule it so that each person must undergo trials before they can escape the ship. This would replace the Pirate and Ninja war. This would ignite something greater, some war that would lead to a grant spectacle. Those that were good would complete their missions and head immediately home. But those who were truly worthy…
Would selfishly stay behind, and continue to explore the ships unknown wonders. These would become his chosen, and they could battle between themselves who was the best.
Another gurgley cackle emitted form the Eldest God as he reached far within the Universe to pick up one, an Orc Necromancer. A quick plop and he was on the ship, awaiting his destiny.
“You, Orc, are my chosen. Go, take this artifact. Raise an army. Decimate all those who would attempt to get to the Cockpit Gate.”
Nazrax nodded.
“As you wish, Lord Cthulhu.”
Now to wait. Now to watch as the coming crowd would foolishly enter the ship and create the grandest spectacle to date.
This was a good idea.
This was going to be fun.
There would be no ‘great equalizer’ like guns, or cannons.
Just pure magic and fury.
“Come, my lemmings! Come! Come and be my entertainment! You shall not survive if you are not worthy! Kwahahaha….”
