Hail and well-met! Come forth and experience the joys of our authentic Renaissance Village...

...our semi-authentic Renaissance Village...

...our endearingly decorated hotel, which doesn't really look as much like a Renaissance village as the Faires who have been building in wood and stone for the past, say, twenty years...but which will feature new and interesting decorations designed to ignite your imagination and help you enter a land of mystery and/or adventure!

Within, you will meet and encounter all manner of villagers, many of them newly brought in for Wicked Faire III, all of them playing roles in this year's epic tale of a Renaissance world, encountering an awesome and sometimes darkly-humorous mythos of Lovecraftian lore. This year's cast of characters is more than twice as big as last year's!

On top of this, we are proud to bring you a stunning multiplicity of performances, entertainers, games and gaming, parties, workshops, films....

...and rather a lot more.

For the time has come! The stars have aligned! The Great Old Ones make ready to return, and in their coming, they drive men mad!

Worst of all, the key to the Gate appears to lie...directly within Wicked Village! And darker still... some of the inhabitants, despite their apparent innocence and, erm, purity... are not at all what they seemed. Unbeknownst to us, the village has secretly housed cultists of the Old Ones, practicing their loathsome worship and stealthily plotting to bring about the return of their inhuman masters!

Even worse (pretend it can get worse than "worst of all", okay? Work with me here)--even worse, the Time of Alignment seems to be coinciding ~precisely~ with the yearly Revel, when outsiders from all manner of places come to the Village in search of the usual simple, reverent, totally pure and innocent good times.

Discovering this, the inhabitants of Wicked Village quickly band together, united as one, determined to stop this scheme of unnamable evil!

...Yeah, right.

The Villagers, pretty much down to the last man, woman, and otherwise, have come to a private consensus of, "Unspeakable cosmic power, AND getting on the good side of Things You Really Don't Want To Piss Off? I want me some o' that."

Now, the chase is on! Who'll discover the secrets needed to unlock the tombs of Those Who Cannot Die? What'll happen if they do...and who will be Eaten First? Which side will it be the Pirates? The Knights? Rebellious Squires? One of the warring Ninja clans? Secretly-evil Barmaids? (Actually, I didn't think that was terribly much of a secret.) Perhaps it will be teams of former enemies, made into strange bedfellows by strange, strange times. The Villagers are frantically pretending that nothing-at-all-out-of-the-ordinary-is-going-on-really-truly... some with more success than others... so as not to disturb the Revels. We have a feeling that won't quite work. The visitors will probably figure out what's going on; the tentacles, for one thing, are a bit of a dead giveaway. Perhaps some of the visitors will even decide to take part. After all, who wants to miss the End of the World?
